Ashwagandha Root Organic Tincture

Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb meaning that it helps your body adapt to stress. Ashwagandha is my favorite herb for postpartum women because it helps to support normal energy and works well for regulating postpartum anxiety and depression. Traditional postpartum practices around the world emphasize the need for warmth during the first 40 days after childbirth. Ashwagandha root is a warming adaptogen used in the Ayurvedic system to support endocrine function, regulate circadian rhythms, and encourage healthy stress response. Known for its ability to restore and rejuvenate the whole body.

Note that ashwagandha balances and strengthens the body over time and with regular use. While it is a potent herb with real benefits, it may take a few days before you start noticing them.


Key Ingredients

Raspberry Leaf
Red raspberry leaf astringent properties help restore tone to uterine and pelvic muscles, may curb excessive bleeding, and assist with wound healing. This herb contains highly bio-available forms of calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, Vitamin C, iron, and B vitamins.

Nettle Leaf
Nettle leaf is one of the most nourishing plants out there, full of vitamins and minerals including calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, selenium, and B vitamins. Nettle mediates inflammation and histamine and acts as a mild diuretic and laxative. It builds energy without caffeine, strengthens the adrenal glands, and supports a healthy milk supply. Traditional midwives used nettle infusions to reduce postpartum bleeding.

Chamomile helps ease any tension and achiness in the body that may be preventing sleep– and it can reduce gas pains! Chamomile can relieve mood swings and cramps and is beneficial for moms who are tearful or who are so sensitive to energy and pain that they can’t focus or work properly when experiencing discomfort.

Oat Straw
Oat straw treats nervous exhaustion, nourishes the body, and rebuilds adrenals, increasing attention and decreasing brain fog. It’s rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, and B vitamins, which we lose quickly in times of stress. It also contains silica which is a major component of hair and nails! It it a gentle diuretic, is protective of gut lining, and can reduce menstrual cramps and hormonal headaches.

Rosehip Shells
Rose Hips are naturally high in vitamin C which can help the absorption of iron from the other herbs in this blend, boosts the immune system and promotes wound healing.

Add 1 heaped teaspoon of tea to a teapot with an infuser, cafetière or glass tea infuser. Add 1 cup of boiling water, infuse for 5-8 minutes and enjoy. Drink 1-3 cups a day for 6 weeks post birth.
